How can you help?

The SWFSO Board has shut out its symphony to the community. But uplifting professional music deserves to be heard again in Ft. Myers.

Contact the SWFSO Board, management, and local press. Tell them you want the Southwest Florida Symphony to return to its mission: bringing vibrant classical music and music education to our region. Demand answers, transparency, accountability, and new leadership.

Ask Them:

  1. Where did the money go? Why haven’t they provided requested audited financial statements? What have they been hiding over the years?

  2. Why was there never a long-term strategic plan?
    What is—or was—SWFSO’s 3-, 5-, or 10-year vision for the organization?

  3. Why did the Board choose to spend over $150,000 on an out-of-town lawyer (and continues to spend…) to shut out musicians instead of producing concerts for our community in Fort Myers?

  4. Why was there never a succession plan for Board leadership?
Why has the same ineffective Board Chair been allowed to stay in the position over 10 years though SWFSO’s steady decline? Who will lead SWFSO forward?
Demand a new CEO and new Board leadership.

  5. Why was world-class professional classical music and youth education cut from Southwest Florida, without ever appealing to the community or musicians?
    Our community deserves better.
